My name is Jamie Lueddeke Critchley. I work as a party hostess at your home, venue, or park. I can greet your guests, hang coats, offer drinks, heat & pass hors d`oeuvres, heat food, set up buffet or plate up meals, serve food, get coffee & desserts ready, keep an eye out for debris, look after powder room, store leftovers & clean up. I also do a little grilling.

I do have grill masters I work with as well as bartenders & Chefs. Ive also been practicing charcuterie boards. If its a self serve bar I would open wines, cut fruit, refill ice, make simple drinks, etc… I will say my business stands out as I know what the next steps are to running a party/wedding where timing may be important if you are renting a venue for a certain amount of hours, or if you have guests that will be ready to leave at a certain time & may be looking for coffee & dessert or something along those lines.

Also, for the timing of a sit-down meal, I am very familiar with running wedding receptions as far as intros, toasts, cake cutting & such… I worked banquets for 10 years at a venue in my neighborhood & was captain there for 6 years. That is where most of my knowledge came from. The bottom line is I would do what you would do if I wasn`t there.

My main job is to let you relax & have fun with your guests & I do the rest. You`d be a guest in your own home! Its nice that you can go to bed & wake up with a tidy kitchen. My staff of servers & bartenders are experienced & some are listed in my reviews as well. I can provide 10 wire chafing racks if you need along with gold serving utensils. I also have a few platters & cake risers. Let me know before your event. (I do have 1 metal chafing rack with lid & a single server with glass lid) I have 25 white chair covers with black belt & black napkins as well.

What should you know about our pricing?

Pricing starts between $35-$55 an hour depending on the holiday & details of your events. Also gratuity is greatly appreciated!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We can decide together how many servers you may need or if you need a bartender chef or griller then give me the time and place and we will be there.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

When I was a teen I worked at my close friends family pizzeria in South Belmar, (Lake Como now) after that I worked at a few restaurants and banquet facilities. In the 80s I started servicing house parties.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started in the 1980`s cleaning houses. One of my clients was hosting a wedding and asked if I would serve and tend to the bar, after that I was able to connect with some of her friends to also assist with their events. Also my friend worked in the locker room of a local country club & we got many parties from the members.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I have decorated some nice cheese platters. It does not take to long depending on the type of cheese & how big.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

~hourly rate~ willing to travel ~availability~ how many servers for a well run party ~ how long do u expect your event to be ~sit down meal or a buffet~ bartender or self serve. Uniform: I have black or white dress shirts with tie or no tie or black or white polo for casual events.
